Followed by a Class for Adults
Continuing Adult Instruction.
ABOUT OUR CLASSES FOR ADULTS

Our purpose is to present the church’s teaching as
clearly and objectively as possible so that you will
have a rational basis for deciding whether this is the
thing you believe and want.  We will not try to “sell
you” on the Anglican Church.  We want you to join
with us only if you are convinced this is the way to
invest your life.

We urge you to attend the Sunday worship of the
church regularly during the course of lectures.
Religion is not just an intellectual theory about the
universe; it is primarily a way of life aimed at
universe, and the practice of the faith is more
important than the understanding of it.  Heaven
is full of saints that never learned to read or write.

There are a hundred different and conflicting
religious ideas floating vaguely around in the public
consciousness.  Therefore, we shall spend most of
our time on
what the church teaches, rather than
why she teaches it.

You may join the classes at any time.  They are ongoing.
ST. PETER'S CHURCH
A TRADITIONAL ANGLICAN PARISH

The adoration and worship of Almighty God is the
primary mission of this Parish.  To adore the Blessed
Trinity in fellowship with the Holy Angels, Patriarchs,
Prophets and Saints is our greatest privilege.  Every-
thing else springs from this and is secondary to it.
Our intention is worship and our goal is holiness, to
show forth to others the power of God as well as the
peace that may only be obtained through Jesus
Christ, God the Son, Redeemer of the world.  How
blessed we are to be called to this ministry.

St. Peter’s, a parish of the Diocese of the Holy Cross,
affiliated with Forward in Faith, United Kingdom, was
established to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in
the sound and sturdy tradition of the Evangelical and
Apostolic Faith, rejoicing in those elements we have
received from the godly legacy of the English Church.

We teach and preach no faith but the Catholic Faith and
strive to preserve the orthodox Doctrine, Discipline and
Tradition of the Church of the Ages.  Our parish rejects
attempts to recreate Christianity to suit contemporary
fashion and remains loyal to the faith of the Apostles’,
Nicene and Athanasian Creeds, as well as the
Ecumenical Councils and the unchangeable Apostolic
Ministry of male Bishops, Priests and Deacons.

We worship and adore God with that decency and order
that is commanded in Scripture, holding the Eucharist to
be the central act of worship for all obedient to that Lord
who instituted the Mass as the eternal re-presentation of
the Sacrifice of our redemption.

Our liturgy is the majestic 1549 Book of Common Prayer,
in the American edition of 1928, supplemented by the
enhancements of the Anglican Missals.  We decry the
“culture of death” and hold that every human being,
from the moment of conception, is a child of God, made
in likeness, an infinitely precious soul; and that the
unjustifiable taking of life is a grievous sin.

As traditional Anglican Catholics, we continue to be what
we have been since Christ’s Church was planted in the
British Isles in the first century.  We do nothing new; we
have formed no new sect or denomination, but live, die
and, by the grace of God and the power of His Cross,
hope to rise, body and soul, sons and daughters of
Christ , King of Kings, Lord of Lords.
